The MSIF Weekly Update is a living report that blends our portfolio’s performance with the macro backdrop so we make smart, disciplined decisions. Each week, rotating team members publish a concise view of positioning and results—weekly and academic-YTD returns, Sharpe, alpha, beta, volatility, and max drawdown—tracked against targets, alongside strategy contribution, sector exposures, and top holdings by dollar value. The same update opens with the most important U.S. and global headlines shaping sentiment, then reviews sector performance over 1- and 12-month windows versus the S&P 500, compares weekly moves in the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow, and adds quick reads on commodities and key indicators like inflation, rates, unemployment, and dollar strength. Together, this delivers a clear dashboard and risk tool that keeps the team informed and ready to adjust portfolio positioning with data, not guesses.
