CFA & CAIA Events
IAIM partners with the local branches of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) associations. This partnership works to further bridge the investment industry with research and teaching. It also ensures that leading industry professionals, including alums, in Utah are engaging with the University of Utah. IAIM invites you to attend the events below to remain engaged and up-to-date with the newest trends within investing.
CFA Institute Research Challenge
The CFA Institute Research Challenge provides students with the chance to learn about financial analysis and professional ethics while being mentored and trained personally by members of the CFA Society. The challenge has multiple levels, starting with a local level competition where winners will progress to sub-regional, regional, and global competitions.
The challenge runs for an entire school year, with teams forming in August, and the local level competitions being held in March. It requires a strong level of commitment and dedication, and is an incredible opportunity for students to showcase what they've learned in the classroom. About CFA Society Salt Lake
The CFA society is an association of local investment professionals consisting of portfolio managers, security analysts, investment advisors, and other financial professionals. The CFA society promotes:
