Recognizes an individual whose work has advanced investment decision-making, research, market understanding, portfolio construction, client outcomes, or industry practice.

Nomination Criteria

How nominations will be evaluated.

Nominations should clearly explain the nominee’s contribution and why the work matters to investment management, investors, and the broader profession.

Innovation

Originality of the idea, research, process, technology, or investment approach.

Industry Impact

Evidence that the contribution improved practice, decision-making, market understanding, or investor outcomes.

Leadership

Demonstrated influence within investment management, research, client service, technology, or professional practice.

Contribution to the Profession

Long-term value to the investment community, including knowledge sharing, ethical practice, and professional advancement.

Nomination Process

Open nominations with a clear annual review cycle.

Nominations may be submitted by IAIM attendees, faculty, industry professionals, alumni, and students. Submissions should include nominee information, a brief description of the contribution, supporting materials when available, and an explanation of impact.

A review committee may include industry advisory members once established and Professor Brogaard.

    Nominations Open

    IAIM announces the awards and invites nominations from the investment, academic, student, and alumni communities.

  2. Feb-Mar

    Review Period

    The review committee evaluates submissions using the four nomination criteria.

  3. April

    Winners Selected

    Recipients are selected and prepared for recognition through IAIM communications.

  4. Conference

    Awards Presented

    Recipients are recognized during the IAIM Annual Conference.

Award Recognition

Celebrating honorees across the IAIM community.

Award recipients become part of a growing network of IAIM honorees associated with excellence, innovation, and leadership in investment management.

Conference Recognition

Recipients receive the IAIM Investment Innovation Award and are recognized during the IAIM Conference.
